From Janet Klein & Her Parlor Boys 2002 "Put A Flavor To Love" CD Release

Ian sings this British novelty from 1929 with all the vocal agility of a true Music Hall veteran.

This Novelty Fox trot was written by Ian's uncle, Stanley Damerell in 1929 with the official credit of:
Lyrics by Erell Reaves (pseudonym for Stanley Damerell & Robert Hargeaves)
Music by Sherman Myers (also known as Montague Ewing)

Ian loved to tell stories of his uncle and pals, who also wrote
"Lady of Spain", "Lets All Sing Like the Birdies Sing" and "I Never Wronged an Onion so Why Should They Make Me Cry"
and let us know that these British writers figured that they would have more success if they credited themselves with Jewish sounding sir names like those hot American Tinpan Alley folks.
